Paced by a first place sweep of three relays, the Lady Cougars claimed the team title
competing at the Warner track meet. The quartet of Aliviah Stricker, Riley Thomas,
Kallie Dougherty and Brooklyn Carter were first to the tape in the girls 4x200m
relay while Payton Zodrow, Stricker, Thomas and Dougherty won the 4x400m race
after Zodrow, Stricker, Thomas and Elizabeth Holland outpaced the field to win the
4x800m first place gold medal. Payton Zodrow went 4-for-4 on the day by also
winning first place medals in the 400m and 800m events. The Lady Cougars
bolstered their championship team point totals with Holland earning a second place
finish in the 3200m run and third place in the 300m hurdles. Stricker and Kenlee
Comer added points in the 800m run with Thomas and Carter finishing second and
fifth in the 200m event. With her fifth place time in the 3200m run, Wakia James
added points to the Lady Cougars championship efforts.

The Cougars won the gold medal in the boys 4x400m relay thanks to the first place
pace set by Zac Patterson, Joe Green, John Beckwith and Treveon Guthrie while
David Peterson joins forces with Patterson, Guthrie and Beckwith for a third place
finish in the 4x200m relay. Ben Kimble would join Patterson, Peterson and Beckwith
to finish in third place in the 4x800m relay. Tucker Friend scored points in 3200m
run with a third place time and a fifth place finish in the 1600m race while Treveon
Guthrie finished second in the 400m contest and Zach Patterson took sixth place in
the 200m dash.
